Lawrence 250
As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, the Lawrence Historical Society is proud to commemorate this historic milestone by exploring the people, places, and events that shaped our nation—and our community—from the Revolutionary era and beyond. Lawrence Township played a meaningful role in the story of America’s founding, and this anniversary offers a unique opportunity to reflect on our shared past while engaging with history in fresh and meaningful ways.

Throughout the coming year, organizations across Lawrence Township will host a series of special programs, lectures, exhibits, and community events in honor of America’s Semiquincentennial. Designed to educate, inspire, and engage residents of all ages, these events highlight both our nation’s history and Lawrence’s local contributions. We invite you to join us in commemorating 250 years of independence and bringing history to life.
