Experience History Come to Life!

The Lawrence Historical Society is thrilled to host the First Oval Office Project, an immersive living history experience presented by the Museum of the American Revolution. Step inside a full-scale, meticulously hand-sewn replica of George Washington’s Revolutionary War field tent—the mobile headquarters where he strategized, dined, and slept while leading the Continental Army. Though not the original tent, this stunning recreation offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience what it was like inside the space that served as the nation’s first “Oval Office.” The exhibit will be open to the public on December 13th at the Brearley House (100 Meadow Road), bringing this extraordinary piece of history to life right here in Lawrence!
